Day 1 Sydney: Welcome to Australia! After your flights lands in Sydney, we pick you up and drive to the hotel (check in after 3 p.m.). Sydney is Australia’s oldest and largest city. It is built around a huge harbour and hosts many tourist attractions as well as a number of beaches, bays and a couple of national parks. In the evening you are taken on the fun-filled Sydney Show Boat Cruise and you can revel in the carnival atmosphere of the unique live entertainment. Overnight in Sydney. (D)
Day 2 Sydney: Today’s city tour of Sydney starts with a private guided tour of the uniquely-designed Opera House. You will then be taken on a drive to view the famous Harbour Bridge, the Rocks, Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair and Hyde Park, with a stop at Darling Harbour, one of Australia’s major attractions. You will also visit the famous Sydney Tower, Sydney Wild Life World and the Sydney Aquarium. Next, you will be taken to visit Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, to see a unique line-up of celebrities such as Captain Cook, Sir Donald Bradman, Albert Einstein, Nicole Kidman and more. Day 3 Sydney: Today, the day is free for you to explore more of the vibrant city of Sydney on your own, or we suggest one of the many excursions mentioned. (B, D)
Day 4 Melbourne: Today you take a flight to Melbourne. On arrival you proceed for a guided tour of the Melbourne Cricket Ground – the city’s best known landmark and the Mecca of Australian cricket. (Inside visit to MCG will not be available during events /matches/weekends). Later you are driven towards the spectacular Great Ocean Road, which is one of the world’s most scenic coastal drives. Overnight on the Great Ocean Road / in Melbourne. (B, L, D)
Day 5 Melbourne: Today you will drive along the Great Ocean Road and be spellbound by the sheer beauty of this road, which tightly hugs the southeast coast of Australia between Geelong and Warrnambool. See the world famed ‘Twelve Apostles’ – a collection of limestone formations, which were created about 10-20 million years ago by billions of tiny skeletal fragments. On reaching Melbourne city you will proceed on a city tour to see Federation Square, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the Shrine of Remembrance and the Art Center. Overnight in Melbourne. (B, L, D)
Day 6 Adelaide: After breakfast you take a train to Adelaide – the capital city on South Australia and the gateway to some of Australia’s best wine country. The Overland is an Australian passenger train service between Melbourne and Adelaide. Enjoy a relaxing, comfortable journey between these two great cities, taking in a diverse range of landscapes from rugged mallee scrubland, to fields of green and gold. After checking into your hotel, you have a free evening to explore this cosmopolitan city on your own. Overnight in Adelaide. (B, L, D)
Day 7 Adelaide: Today you are taken on a Tour of the Barossa Valley, famous for being one of the world’s great wine-making regions. Jacob’s Creek is Australia’s largest wine brand with over 160 years of wine-making expertise. You can visit the Jacob’s Creek Visitor Centre and undertake their introductory tour, with wine-making and history displays and a wine-tasting experience. We will also have a city orientation of Adelaide with a photo stop at the Oval. Overnight in Adelaide. (B, L, D)
