DAY 1: ARRIVAL – BLUE LAGOON – REYKJVAIK
Flight from your selected airport to Iceland/Keflavik. Shuttle transfer from the airport to the Blue Lagoon. A visit to the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa is a good start on your stay in Iceland. Guests renew their relationship with nature, soak up the scenic beauty and enjoy breathing the clean, fresh air while relaxing in the warm geothermal seawater. After relaxing in the Blue Lagoon take the return transfer according to time schedule to your hotel inReykjavik.
Later explore half day sightseeing tour of Reykjavik. During the sightseeing of the northern most capital of Europe you will discover the various sights in Reykjavik and learn interesting facts about the city. A few of the highlights include Presidential residence
Bessastaðir, Harpa concert hall, Hallgrímskirkja Church, Old Harbour and
more. Overnight in Reykjavik.
DAY 2: GOLDEN CIRCLE DAY TOUR
After enjoying breakfast at your hotel you will be picked up from your hotel in Reykjavik for your Golden Circle tour. On the Gullfoss-Geysir tour you can walk around the world-famous Geysir geothermal area, a geothermal field where hot springs are in abundance and geysers explode.. One of the Golden Circle’s many highlights is the Gullfoss waterfall, the queen of Iceland‘s waterfalls. The tour ends with the no less spectacular Thingvellir National Park. This is the original site of the oldest existing parliament in the world. The Great Atlantic Rift is clearly visible, a rift that is slowly pulling Iceland apart along tectonic plates. After the tour you will be dropped off at your hotel. Evening free for own leisure in Reykjavik. Overnight at same hotel in Reykjavik.
DAY 3: 05th Jul: SOUTH COAST DAY TOUR
After breakfast you will be picked up from your hotel. Today you will explore the South Shore of Iceland which is unique and that part of the country which by far the greatest numbers of foreign visitors comes to. You will stop at Seljalandsfoss and Skogarfoss. These are two of Iceland’s loveliest waterfalls. You can walk to the back of Seljalandsfoss. You will pass Eyjafjallajökull glacier and the area evacuated in the large volcano eruption in 2010. Continue onwards to Vík, where you will find Reynisfjara, Reynisdrangar and Dyrholaey. Reynisfjara is a black lava beach that has amazing basalt rock formations. Outside the sea, you can see the basalt-shaped pillars Reynisdrangar. The area has a rich bird life and it will be likely to see puffins here. Dyrholaey is a small peninsula at Reynisdrangar. Return to Reykjavik in the evening. Overnight at same hotel in Reykjavik.
DAY : DEPARTURE
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before checking out. You can ask to keep your
bags at the hotel while you enjoy a last stroll around the city of Reykjavik. Go
back to your hotel to collect your bags for your airport transfer in time for
your departure flight back to the US at 5 PM.
